Safehomes Operations Manager Was Sharon Fire And Rescue Squad Member

Rebecca Ann Grimes, age 55, of 417 W. Ridgeway St, Clifton Forge, Virginia, died Wednesday, April 14, 2016 at her residence.

She was born August 21, 1960 in Bath County to the late Kay and Shelby Simmons Grimes.

She was an Operations Manager for Safehomes of Covington, and a member of Sharon Volunteer Fire and Rescue.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Lee Cary; a daughter, Deanna Grimes; and a brother, Scott Grimes.

She is survived by two sons, William T. Cary and Michael K. Grimes, both of Clifton Forge; a sister, Sandra Purdue of Dunmore, WV; two grandchildren, Bret Cary and Makayla Cary; a number of nieces and nephews; and many close friends, neighbors and family members.

In keeping with her wishes, her body has been cremated.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday evening, April 20, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge, with Frank Yost and Reverend Doug Moore officiating.

The family will visit with friends Wednesday evening from 5:00 p.m. until the time of service at Nicely Funeral Home. The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the Sharon Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad, 3910 Longdale Furnace Road, Clifton Forge, VA 24422.
