Wendy Leigh Persinger, age 49, of 72 Alleghany Street, Clifton Forge, Virginia, died Saturday, May 28, 2016 at her residence.

She was born April 29, 1967, in Clifton Forge to Norman L. Persinger, Sr. and Nancy Drepperd Persinger.

She worked as a nurse's aide at various nursing homes.

She was known for her love of all animals.

In addition to her parents, Norman and Nancy Persinger of Covington, she is survived by a brother, Norman L. "Todd" Persinger, Jr. of Clifton Forge and a number of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

In keeping with her wishes, her body has been cremated.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the Alleghany Humane Society, P. O. Box 60, Low Moor, VA 24457.
