Marie Edmonia Zollman Swink, 99, of Lexington, Virginia, passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at Stonewall Jackson Hospital.

Born March 5, 1917 in Rockbridge County, she was the daughter of the late William Zollman and Willie Henry Shafer Zollman.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Saville Swink; and two sisters, Willie Moses and Bessie Swink.

Mrs. Swink was a member of Elliotts Hill Methodist Church.

Surviving are two children, Betty Swink Dixon, Kenneth Frank Swink, both of Lexington; three grandchildren; five great grandchildren; twelve great-great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday, June 3, 2016 at Oxford Presbyterian Cemetery with the Rev. Lucy A. Jackson- Hughes officiating. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in loving memory of Marie to the Effinger Volunteer Fire & Rescue, 2824 Collierstown Road, Lexington, VA 24450.
