Obituary for Oren Donald (Don) Morgan, Jr. Oren Donald (Don) Morgan, Jr.
Retired Westvaco Millwright, Mechanic Was Immanuel Baptist Church Member

Oren Donald (Don) Morgan, Jr., age 74, of 913 Park Street, Clifton Forge, Virginia, died Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at his residence.

He was born August 12, 1941 in Clifton Forge to the late Oren D. Morgan, Sr. and Helen Barger Morgan.

He was a retired millwright and mechanic for Westvaco of Covington and was a member of the United States Army Reserve.

He was a also member of Immanuel Baptist Church, where he served as chief cook.

He enjoyed the restoration of classic cars, hunting, and fishing.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Henry Morgan and Calvin Morgan.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Taylor Morgan of Clifton Forge; a daughter, Amy Morgan Brammer and husband, Randy of Alderson, WV; two sons, Michael Morgan and wife, Kristy of Covington, and Jason Morgan and wife, Tanya of Roanoke; a sister, Jane Thompson and husband, Steve of Luray; a brother, Richard Morgan and wife, Wanda of Myrtle Beach; a sister-in-law, Carol Morgan; ten grandchildren, Mikayla, Autumn, Adam, Austin, Taylor, Joey, Thrice, Katelyn, Harley, and Allysen; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with Pastor John Godfrey officiating. Interment will follow in Alleghany Memorial Park, Low Moor.

Active pallbearers will be Michael Morgan, Jason Morgan, Adam Simmons, Landon Sparks, Mikayla Morgan, Jared Bradberry, Randy Brammer, and David White. Honorary pallbearers will be Harry Clark, Doc Thompson, Monte Jeffries, and Don Roberts.

The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Nicely Funeral Home and other times at the residence. The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions to Immanuel Baptist Church Building Fund, 2819 Douthat Road, Clifton Forge, VA 24422.
