Billy Joe Hundley, 83, of Fincastle, Virginia, passed away Friday, June 3, 2016.

Mr. Hundley was a Korean War Veteran serving with the United States Navy and was a member of the Boone Masonic Lodge #247 A.F. & A.M.

He was a teacher, having taught in the Botetourt and Fairfax County School Systems from which he retired in 1987.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond E. and Kathleen Octavia Hall Hundley; and sisters, Virginia Rae Woody and Jacqueline Rader Overstreet.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Sybil Stevens Hundley; daughter and son-in-law, Carrie and Todd Brandt of Yonkers, N.Y.; granddaughters, Makenna, Zoe, and Sadie Brandt; brother and sister-in-law, Raymond and Faye Hundley of Gala; sister, Pat H. Osisek of Alexandria.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 7, 2016, in the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home with Pastor Todd Brandt officiating. Interment will follow in Mill Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, June 6, 2016, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Botetourt Funeral Home, 14920 Lee Highway, Buchanan, Va., phone 540-254-3000.
