Vietnam Veteran Dies At Age 65

Mr. Walter Wayne Giebner, aka Grandad, Baby G, or most fondly, Governor, age 65, of Daleville, died Friday, June 10, 2016.

Mr. Giebner was born November 8, 1950, the son of the late Walter and Beulah Johnston Giebner.

Wayne served his country as a member of the United States Army during Vietnam.

He was a lifetime member of the Loyal Order of the Moose, #610.

Mr. Giebner is survived by his children, Chris Giebner and Shawna Daniel of Roanoke; Kasey Giebner and Malcolm Beverly of White Sulpher Springs, WV and Chase and Erin Giebner of Johnson City, TN; four grandchildren, McKenzie Giebner, Russell Lee Reynolds, Trinity Daniel and Stormie Daniel; siblings, Bill and Gayle Wolfe, Anna Brown, Teresa and Gary Vance, Ruby May, Donna Cash Diamond and Chip Diamond, Wanda and Jeff Bogar, and Sheila Brewster and Larry Brewster, Sr.; a number of nieces and nephews including a special nephew, William Wayne "Billy" Brown and a number of dear family and friends including Lisa Giebner, Charles and Donna Giebner, Connie Elmore, Zenda and Erick Moses, Brian and Lou Moore, Tim and Susan Crowe, Tim and Shelby Florey and family, Cheryl, Mickey, Janie and Joni Benton, and Corbin and Jean Ann Anderson.

A memorial service will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, June 18, 2016, from the chapel of Loving Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends on Saturday afternoon from 2:00 p.m. until time of service at Loving Funeral Home.
