Don Edward Wright, age 77, of Covington, Virginia, passed away Monday June 20, 2016 in The Veteran’s Medical Center Salem.

Born May 22, 1939 in Garrett KY, he was the son of late Ralph and Juanita Denny Wright.

He was also preceded in death a daughter Joyce W. McClung, and a brother, James Wright.

Mr. Wright served during Vietnam and was in the United States Army for 17 years.

Surviving are his wife, Golden Craft Wright; a son, James "Jay" Wright of Covington; two daughters, Patricia "Sue" Baker and husband, Luke of Fairlawn, VA and Teresa Lockard and husband, Pat of LA Vergne TN; five Grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and also one brother, Robert Wright of Garrett, Ky.

The funeral service will be Saturday June 25, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. in the Arritt Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Michael Fisher officiating.

Interment will be made Alleghany Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Arritt Funeral Home.
