Lorean Fridley Tucker, 87, of Covington, Virginia, died Sunday, June 26, 2016 at Lewis Gale Hospital in Low Moor.

She was born July 12, 1928 in Alleghany County, a daughter of the late James M. and Elma Bess Fridley.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford L. Tucker in 1991 and also by one sister, Frances Bowers, and one brother, Olanta "Frid" Fridley.

Mrs. Tucker was an employee of the former Industrial Rayon Corp., Hercules, Inc. and Halmode Inc.

She was a member of McAllister Memorial Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are one son and daughter-in–law, Darrell and Donna Tucker of Covington; three daughters and sons–in-law, Tammy and Craig Madison of Covington; Teresa and Jerry Vess of Clifton Forge and Terri and Steve Carper of Covington; eight grandchildren, Michail Madison; Devin Tucker, Melinda Benson; Justin Vess, Ben Vess, Brandi Barr, Chase Carper Mackenzie Madison; three great grandchildren, Ethan Tucker, Jeslyn Vess and Aurora Barr; two brothers, Sebert Fridley of Hamilton, OH, Marvin Fridley of Covington and Loralee Wood of Covington; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 29, 2016 in the Arritt Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mike Fleener officiating.

Interment will follow in Lone Star Cemetery.

The family received their friends Wednesday from 12:30 until service time at the Arritt Funeral Home and will at other times at the home of Tammy and Craig Madison from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. at 1006 Apache Court, Covington, VA 24426.
