Richard Lee Dudley, age 54, of 21989 Botetourt Road, Eagle Rock, Virginia, died Wednesday, August 10, 2016 in Craig County due to a logging accident.

He was born February 7, 1962 in Eagle Rock to the late James and Margaret Wilcher Dudley.

He was a self-employed logger.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Susan Smith and Alma Dudley.

He is survived by two sons, Kasey James Lewis Dudley and wife, Jennifer of Clifton Forge, and Richard Lee Dudley, Jr. of Eagle Rock; a daughter, Cheryl Riddick of Covington; two sisters, Mary Ann Nininger of Iron Gate and Louis Jones of Salem; four brothers, Melton Dudley of Eagle Rock, Wayne Dudley of Eagle Rock, Ralph Dudley of Clifton Forge, and Blair Dudley of Eagle Rock; three grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Sunday evening, August 14, 2016 from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. at Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge.

Following the visitation, in keeping with his wishes, his body will be cremated.
