United Baptist Church Pastor Was Also Mining Supply Company Partner

Pastor Jason Morgan Cochran, 42, of 306 N. Fork Road at Neola, WV, died Thursday, August 11, 2016, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke.

Jason was born Feb. 17, 1974, at Ronceverte, WV, a son of Carl and Jackie Morgan Cochran of Neola, WV.

He was a 1992 graduate of Greenbrier East High School and a graduate of Dabney S. Lancaster Community College.

He was a partner in Rock Drillers, LLC, a mining supply company at Neola, WV.

Jason was the beloved pastor of the United Baptist Church on Ogles Creek Road.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Melanie McKinney Cochran, of Neola, WV; two sons, Benjamin Cochran and Nathanael Cochran, both of Neola; two daughters, Jayleine Cochran and Lydia Cochran, both of Neola; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Dwain and Starr Cochran of Stuarts Draft, VA, Corbie and Shannon Cochran and Dusty and Shawna Cochran, all of Neola; one sister and brother-in-law, Carla and Chip Cochran, of Rock Hill, SC, and several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Monday, August 15, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Arritt Funeral Home with Evangelist Dave Kistler officiating, assisted by Pastor Lloyd Camp.

Interment will be made in the Watts Chapel Church Cemetery at Neola, WV.

Following the service, the family will receive friends for food and fellowship at the White Sulphur Springs EMS Building.

A scholarship fund for his children has been established at the First Citizens Bank at White Sulphur Springs or friends may make donations to the United Baptist Church Youth Fund.

The Arritt Funeral Home, Covington, Virginia, is handling the arrangements.
