Clifton Forge Assembly Of God Church Member Dies In Staunton At Age 59

Sherry Howard Stiltner, 59, of 500 C Street, Staunton, Virginia died Thursday, September 15, 2016 at her residence.

She was born November 9, 1956, in Grundy, Virginia, a daughter of the late Pearl and Evelyn (Deel) Howard.

She was employed as a CNA.

She was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Clifton Forge.

She was a woman of Pentecostal faith and she loved her grandchildren.

Family members include a daughter, Judy Adkins and friend, Derick Wimmer of Jewell Ridge; four brothers and three sisters-in-law, Stanford Howard, Zig and Tammy Howard, Lonnie and Jenny Howard, and Mack and Sue Howard; a sister, Essie Heffler; three step-brothers, Jody, Lance, and Aaron; three grandchildren, Ryan, Tyler, and Kourtney; and a special friend, James Wilcher.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Shirley Fuller and Cansey Howard; and a brother, Joe Howard.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, September 24, 2016 in the First Assembly of God Church in Clifton Forge by the Rev. Mary Nicley.

Burial was held at an earlier date in Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery in Millboro Springs.

The Henry Funeral home is handling the arrangements.
