Shirley Ford Vint, 76, of Covington, Virginia went peaceably home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday October 17, 2016.

She was born March 26, 1940 in Covington, a daughter of the late Raymond and Mary Meadows Ford.

Shirley was formerly employed by Alleghany Regional Hospital as a nursing assistant and was also an employee of the former Halmode, Inc. in Covington.

Surviving are her daughter, Donna Vint of Covington; three sisters, Rosa Ford of Covington; Catherine Dudley and Dee Barnhart and husband, Don, all of Barberton, Ohio; one brother, Bill Ford and wife, Leigh of Covington, and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Thursday, October 20, 20016 at 11:00 a.m. from the graveside in Alleghany Memorial Park with the Rev. Charles Russell officiating.

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 7:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Arritt Funeral Home, Covington, Virginia.
