Covington Resident Was Carpenter With Duke Power

Richard Palmer Lodge, 56, of 1214 Hillcrest Drive, Covington, Virginia died Wednesday, October 26, 2016.

He was born April 29, 1960, a son of the late Russel and Clara Weese Lodge.

Richard was employed by Duke Power in South Carolina as a carpenter.

He was a huge car enthusiast for all of his life.

Surviving are his three brothers: Gary Lodge and his wife, Karen; Gene Lodge and Michael Lodge, all of Covington; his aunt, Phyllis Givens and husband, Loyd of Covington; nieces and nephews, Katreena Burger, Allen Lodge, Matthew Lodge and Holly Achey; great nieces and nephews, Brandon Lodge, Abby Lodge, Allie Lodge and Mila Lodge; friends, Jim and Betty Linkenhoker of Covington and Wendell Hammond of Florida.

In keeping with his wishes, his body has been cremated.

The memorial service will be held Saturday evening, October 29, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. in the Arritt Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Donnie Bowker officiating.

Following the service the family will receive their friends.
