Obituary for Allen Dale Lowry, Sr. Allen Dale Lowry, Sr.
HVAC Supervisor For Mountain Air, Was Former Falling Spring Fire Department Officer

Allen Dale Lowry, Sr., 59 of 1510 Dunbrack Road, Covington, Virginia died Thursday, October 27, 2016, at Lewis Gale Alleghany Hospital.

He was born August 27, 1957, a son of the late Quentin and Mildred McElwee Lowry.

In addition to his parents, Dale was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Lowry.

Dale was employed as an HVAC Supervisor with Mountain Air Inc. and had been with the company for 40 years.

He attended Greenwood Presbyterian Church.

Dale was a member and former officer of the Falling Spring Fire Department.

For many years he was active in the Covington Little League Baseball, servicing as a coach and as an officer. He was an avid outdoorsman.

Surviving are his wife of 39 years, Dolly Carter Lowry, of Covington; two sons and daughters–in-law, Dale Lowry, Jr. and Holly, and Anthony Lowry and Nikki, all of Covington; his granddaughter, Maddy Lowry of Covington; his brother, Bill Lowry and his wife, Patricia, of Millboro; his father-in–law and mother–in-law,Vernon and Eunice Quantz, of Covington and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Monday, October 31, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. in the Arritt Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. William M. Hartsfield officiating.

The interment will follow in Falling Spring Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

The family will receive their friends Sunday evening from 7:00 until 8:30 p.m. at Arritt Funeral Home and at other times at the Lowry's Home, 1510 Dunbrack Road, Covington, VA 24426. The family suggests that donations in Mr. Lowry's name be made to the Falling Spring Fire Department and Rescue Squad, P. O. Box 880, Covington, VA 24426.
