Elestine Frances Fitzgerald Groah, 85, of Raphine, Virginia passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2016.

She was born Dec. 15, 1931, in Nelson County, a daughter of James R. Fitzgerald and Hazel Ramsey Fitzgerald.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, son, Bobby Groah and daughter, Angie Sandridge.

Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Floyd Owens Groah of Raphine; three sons, Danny Groah, Timmy Groah and Tony Groah; daughters, Robin Ogden, Cherrie Steele and Paula Weeks; nine siblings, 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, December 30, at the Marlbrook Baptist Church in Raphine. A celebration and memorial service will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, December 31, at the Marlbrook Baptist Church by Pastor Rader Ogden and Pastor Larry Wright. Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Presbyterian Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Hospice of the Shenandoah, 64 Sports Medicine Drive, Fishersville, VA 22939.
