Obituary for Phillip Hughes Lindsay Phillip Hughes Lindsay
Retired Window Glazer Was Bath County Native

Mr. Phillip Hughes Lindsay, age 61, of Covington, Virginia died March 9, 2017 at his residence.

He is survived by his fiancee, Valerie Field-Vass.

Mr. Lindsay was born September 2, 1955 in Bath County, the son of Mary Alice Pritt Lindsay Hanks and the late Howard Nelson Lindsay.

A resident of this community for most of his life, he had been employed as a window glazer before his retirement.

Mr. Lindsay was a member of Good News Christian Fellowship Church.

In addition to his fiancée, Mr. Lindsay is survived by a daughter, Brooke Lindsay; three sons, David McCallister of Covington, Alexander Lindsay, Devin Lindsay; a step-son, Charles Vass; a brother, Joseph Nelson Lindsay of Hot Springs; and a sister, Sam L. Duncan of Yorktown.

A graveside service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, March 12, 2017 at Jones Cemetery with Rev. Steve Noel officiating. Those wishing to attend the service should assemble at the cemetery by 2:45 p.m.. Arrangements are being handled by Loving Funeral Home; www.lovingfuneralhome1913.com.
