Obituary for Wilma Fay Ballard Heare Wilma Fay Ballard Heare
Retired Local Sales Clerk Was Central United Methodist Church Member

Wilma Fay Ballard Heare, age 94, of The Brian Center Health and Rehabilitation, Low Moor, Virginia, died Thursday, April 6, 2017 at The Brian Center.

She was born August 22, 1922 in Ronceverte, West Virginia to the late Carl Wilder Ballard and Wilma Hinkle Ballard.

She was a retired sales clerk for Childs and Heare Jewelry Store and also Hodges Jewelry.

She was a member of Central United Methodist Church, where she belonged to the Wesleyan Bible Class. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society and enjoyed watching golf.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Ward Heare, and a daughter, Carol A. Mikulla.

She is survived by two sisters, Phyllis Myers of Low Moor and Betty B. Downey of Clifton Forge; a grandson, David Gilbert and wife, Andrea of Crofton, MD; a great granddaughter, Meaghan Gilbert; and two nieces, Susan Downey and Fran Downey.

A graveside funeral service will be held on Monday, April 10, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in Alleghany Memorial Park, Low Moor, with Reverend Lynn Wright officiating. Interment will immediately follow.

The family will receive friends on Monday morning from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. at Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge.
