Lucille W. Smith, 77, of Buena Vista, Virginia, was called home to be with the Lord, Sunday, May 28, 2017.

Lucille was born May 9, 1940 to the late Bewey Fitzgerald and Ethel Fitzgerald.

Lucille was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Hazel Earl Smith. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Enies Fitzgerald, Clyde Fitzgerald, and Clarence Fitzgerald; and one sister, Mary Shanks.

Lucille is survived by her children, Robert Wilcher and wife, Becky, Gail Cash and husband, Larry, Wayne Smith and wife, Kay, Carol Dyer and husband, Jack, Sherry Wilson, Kitty Nick; grandchildren, Christina Ramsey and husband, Jordan, Dustin Cash, Tabitha Phillips and husband, Shannon, Pamela Wilcher and husband, Tim; and numerous stepgrandchildren; stepgreat-grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and a special thanks to Aunt Hattie's love and care.

A funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday, June 1, 2017 at Bolling, Grose & Lotts funeral Chapel with the Rev. Dean Staton officiating. Burial will follow in Rockbridge memorial gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 to 8 at Bolling Grose and Lotts Funeral Home and Cremation service, Buena Vista.
