Stewardess Also Held Many Nursing Positions Throughout The Commonwealth

Gloria June Kramer Jasinowski, 84, of Blackwater Road in Virginia Beach, Virginia, passed away in her home, surrounded by family on July 12, 2017.

Gloria was born in Stapleton, Nebraska, in a sod house, to the late Curtis and Rose Lindauer Kramer.

She grew up in Glenwood Springs and Grand Junction, Colorado, having graduated from Grand Junction High School. She also was a graduate of St. Luke's Hospital School of Nursing in Denver, Colorado and Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia, where she received a Bachelors of Science in Nursing.

She was a United Airlines stewardess, and later held many nursing positions, including nursing instructor and nursing manager all over the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Gloria had many interests, volunteered wherever there was a need, and had a hobby of photographing wild animals. She was the Secretary of the Blackwater Volunteer Rescue Squad, Inc. and was an active member of the Blackwater Civic League. Gloria was a charter member of Virginia State Police Auxiliary, a member of the First Settlers' Porsche Club of America, and a founding member of St. John the Apostle Catholic Church in Virginia Beach.

Gloria was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of more than 60 years, Bob Jasinowski; two sons, Charles and Thomas Jasinowski; two daughters, Jeanne Miesse (Greg), and Doris Jasinowski; four grandchildren, Alexandra, Devra, Tyler, and Peyton; sister, Charlene Sensack; brother, Clifford Kramer; as well as nieces and nephews in Colorado. She also had a special affection for her dogs, Georgie and Honie; and her horse, Roxy.

The family will receive friends at Graham Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 1112 Kempsville Rd. Chesapeake, Virginia on Tuesday, July 18, 2017, from 6:30 p.m. to 8 pm. A service to celebrate her life will be held on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with a reception to follow until 2 p.m. She will be laid to rest privately by her family at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial State Veterans Cemetery, 5310 Milners Road, Suffolk, Virginia.
