Juanita Garman Joyce, 95, of Fairfield, Virginia, died Saturday, Sept. 2, 2017 at Augusta Nursing & Rehab.

Born November 11, 1921 in Catawba, she was a daughter of the late Walter Glen Garman and Nellie Moses Garman.

Mrs. Joyce was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Broaddus Willard Joyce and daughter, Theresa Straub.

Juanita was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church.

Surviving are her daughters, Sheryl Anderson of Staunton, Donna Swisher of Fairfield, and Lisa Falls of Botetourt; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 6, at Bethany Lutheran Church with the Rev. Jim Youngblood and the Rev. Al Fogelman officiating. Burial will follow at Timber Ridge A. R. Presbyterian Cemetery. The family will receive friends 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, September 5 at Harrison Funeral Home.
