Former Rich Patch Resident Dies At Age 83

Margaret Kimberlin Fridley, 83, formerly of Rich Patch, died Saturday, October 7, 2017 at the Alleghany Health and Rehab Center in Clifton Forge.

Mrs. Fridley was born January 21, 1934 in Alleghany County, a daughter of the late Arthur Sullivan and Ruby Humphries Kimberlin.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Jack Fridley; a sister, Erma Lee Forbes, and a brother, Arthur S. "Butch" Kimberlin, Jr.

Surviving are four sons, Barry Fridley and his wife, Rebecca; Jackie Fridley and his wife, Debbie; David Fridley and his wife, Joy, all of Covington; and Joseph Fridley of Richmond; one daughter, Patricia Weikle and her husband, Mike of Organ Cave, WV; seven grandchildren, Jason Fridley and his wife, Triva of Timberlake, NC; Josh Weikle and his wife, Ellie of Organ Cave, WV; Dr. Todd Fridley and his wife, Heather; Holly Slay and her husband, Guy; Marisa Fridley, Breanna Fridley and Jacob Fridley, all of Covington; six great grandchildren; her stepmother, Christine Kimberlin of Fairfax; three sisters, Pearl Tenley of Hilltown, PA, Peggy Stoops and her husband, Bill of Palm Harbor, FL, and Barbara Raphael and her husband, Mike of Fredericksburg; two brothers, Gary Kimberlin and his wife, Debbie of Woodbridge and Billy Craft of Amoss; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Arritt Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Gilliland officiating assisted by the Rev. Raymond Christian.

Interment will be made in Alleghany Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until service time.
