Fay Rigney Lewis, 77, of Martinsville, Virginia, formerly of Covington, died Monday, October 16, 2017 in Lewis Gale Medical Center at Salem.

Mrs. Lewis was born April 17, 1940 in Martinsville, a daughter of the late Steve and Daisy Hairfield Rigney.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles "Buck" Lewis in 1969 and an infant son, Keith Edward Lewis.

Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Trina and Ike Maxey of Martinsville and Teresa and Roger Shrader of Salem; two sons and daughters-in-law, Timothy and Lynette Lewis of Covington and Charles "Pete" Lewis, Jr. and Christell of Martinsville; eleven grandchildren; three great grandchildren and one sister, Glenda Hamby of Martinsville.

In keeping with her wishes, her body has been cremated.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. in the Arritt Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Billy Price officiating.

Inurnment of the ashes will be made in Palestine Chapel Cemetery.

The family will receive their friends from 2:00 p.m. until service time on Saturday at Arritt Funeral Home, Covington.
