Elizabeth Taylor Fix, 98, of Lexington, Virginia, died Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2017 at Shenandoah Valley Health and Rehab Center.

Born July 23, 1919 in Rockbridge County, she was the daughter of Fredrick Alfred Taylor and Mary Elizabeth Taylor.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Preston Alexander Fix.

Mrs. Fix was a member of Oxford Presbyterian Church. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Surviving are her daughters, Donna F. Tyree of Lexington and Nancy F. Rogers of Raphine; sons, Fred A. Fix of Summerville, S.C., and Phillip T. Fix of Lexington; 12 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 5, at Harrison Funeral Chapel by Dr. Horace Douty. Burial will follow at Oxford Presbyterian Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 4 at the Harrison Funeral Home, Lexington.
