Mildred Kessinger Hatcher, 67, of Natural Bridge, VA, died Tuesday, November 14, 2017, at Augusta Health.

Born July 2, 1950, in Virginia, she was a daughter of Edgar Lloyd Kessinger and Bessie Lee Conner Kessinger. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Houston J. Hatcher.

Mrs. Hatcher was a retired district manager of Aimes Department Store, personnel manager for WalMart, a sorority mother at Washington and Lee University, member of The Red Hats Society, and a member of the Lexington Moose Lodge.

Surviving are her son, Wilbur Paul Kessinger; sisters, Jennifer K. Dunn, Anna L. Hickman, Shirley K. Wiseman and Jeanette L. McClung; and brothers, Edgar W. Kessinger and Lloyd B. Kessinger.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 18, at Harrison Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Timothy Stalnaker. Burial will follow at Broad Creek A. R. Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, November 17, at Harrison Funeral Home in Lexington, VA.
