Don Ellsworth Leech, 88, of Lexington, Virginia, died Sunday, Dec. 10, 2017 at Augusta Medical Center.

Born Aug. 12, 1929, in Lexington, he was a son of the late Ellsworth Addison Leech and Alice Montgomery Mackey Leech.

Don was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church, and retired from VDOT after many years of service.

Surviving are his wife, Nancy Kay Spencer Leech; daughters, Stephanie Leech Ring of Lexington, and Candice Leech Snyder and Mary Letitia Leech Howard, both of Richmond; brother, Frank Judson Leech of Albuquerque, N.M.; and four grandchildren.

A memorial service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 14 at Grace Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Paul Carter officiating.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. today, Wednesday, Dec. 13 at Harrison Funeral Home.

Burial will be private at Oxford Presbyterian Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in loving memory of Don to the Lexington Fire Department, 708 S. Main St., Lexington, VA.
