George Harvey Wallace, 74, of Staunton, Virginia, died Sunday, Dec. 10, 2017 at Augusta Health Center.

Born March 1, 1943 in Rockbridge County, he was a son of the late Hubert Lee Wallace and Margaret Dudley Wallace.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Buddy, Jimmy, Gerald and Wayne.

George was a plumber with Riddleberger Brothers Inc.

Surviving are his sisters, Shirley Hill and Jean Sorrells, both of Lexington.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 13, at New Monmouth Presbyterian Church Cemetery with the Rev. Terry Bostic officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
