Eugene Wayne (Gene) Wallace Sr., 73, of Natural Bridge, Virginia, departed this life on December 21, 2017.

Gene was born September 22, 1944 to the late Lewis and Edith Wallace.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife, Donna Wallace.

Gene was employed by Loughead Building Supply for many years and then worked at Walmart before retiring.

Gene loved fishing, hunting, golf and taking long rides on Plank Road with his best friend, Ronnie.

Gene is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Charlyne Wallace; sons, Eugene Wayne Wallace Jr. (Lisa) and Brian W. Wallace; daughter, Dawn Pugh (Pat); sister, Linda Rice (JC); brother, Preston Wallace; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; stepdaughters, Monica Dock and Moreland Diamond; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends who will miss him greatly, especially his favorite little fishing buddy, P. J. Diamond.

A memorial for family and friends will be held a later date.
