Eddie Calvin (Baldy) Thacker, 83, of Natural Bridge Station, Virginia, died Saturday, December 30, 2017 at his residence.

Born December 1, 1934, in Rockbridge County, he was a son of the late Edward K. Thacker and Evvie Campbell Thacker.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Ricky K. Thacker.

He was a member of Faith Baptist Church.

Calvin was the operator of Arnold's Valley Trading Post for over 17 years.

Surviving are his wife, E. Jeannette Wilkins Thacker; daughters, Charlotte T. Cook and husband, Pete and Christy M. Dame and husband, Terry; three grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and sister, Betty T. Saunders.

A memorial service will be conducted at a later date.
