Amanda McKayla Reid, 19, of Troutville, Virginia, died Sunday, January 21, 2018 as a result of injuries from an automobile accident.

Amanda was born April 27, 1998 in Roanoke and lived in Botetourt all of her life. She was the daughter of Robert Lee and Melissa Gail Crawford Reid.

Amanda was a graduate of James River High School and had attended Virginia Western Community College. She loved the arts, cats, and cooking.

Preceded in death by her grandfather, Henry G. Reid, Amanda is survived by her parents Robert and Melissa; brother and sister-in-law, Corey and Samantha Reid of Fincastle; half-brother, Dustin Reid; grandparents, George and Gail "Granny" Staples of Roanoke, Randall and Kathy "Nana" Crawford of Troutville, Dorothy Reid of Roanoke; uncle, Michael Crawford; nephew, Wyatt; and her kitten, Zemi.

A celebration of Amanda's life will be 7:00 p.m. Thursday, January 25 at Rader Funeral Home, 630 Roanoke Road, Daleville, with Pastor John Collins officiating.
