Kathy Wood Young, 57, of Natural Bridge Station, Virginia, passed away peacefully Sunday, February 11, 2018 at home surrounded by family.

She is survived by her husband, Danny; her daughters and sons-in law, Jessica and Matt Schmidt of Raleigh, NC, Karla and Jason Bunn of Natural Bridge Station; her granddaughters, Kaya and Emma; her sisters, Deborah Simpson, Sandra Montgomery, Annette Clark; special family friends, Laurel and Robert Gibson. She was preceded in death by her parents Lloyd and Betty Wood.

A memorial service will be conducted Friday, February 16, 2018 11:00 a.m. at High Bridge Presbyterian Church. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 15, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Harrison's Funeral Home, Lexington, VA.
