Ursula Grace Spath, 78, of Lexington, Virginia passed away Sunday, February 18, 2018 at Augusta Health.

Born November 4, 1939 in New York, she was a daughter of the late Clarence Pomroy Burchell and Anna Roselli Burchell.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Mathew Spath, and a brother, Clarence Roy Burchell.

Mrs. Spath was a member of Lexington Presbyterian Church.

Ursula graduated from Walt Whitman High School, where she was a varsity cheerleader and was employed by Guilford High School for several years.

Surviving are her husband, Jarold Wayne Spath; son, Eric Wayne Spath and wife, Jeanne Spath of Staunton; and a granddaughter, Rachel Ann Spath.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 21st at Harrison Funeral Chapel with Dr. William Klein officiating. Burial will follow at Stonewall Jackson Cemetery.

The family will receive friends for one hour before the service

. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Rockbridge Area Hospice, 315 Myers St., Lexington, VA 24450.
