Obituary for Peggy Ruth Miller Peggy Ruth Miller
Sweet Springs Native Worked Mainly In The Medical Field

Peggy Ruth Miller, 74 of Ronceverte, WV went home to be with our Heavenly Father on February 18, 2018 as dusk began to approach.

Peggy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and family member. She will be remembered well for she embraced her large family, her walk with God and unwavering resilience to love.

Peggy was born in Sweet Springs, WV on September 9, 1943 to her mother, Mary Frances Banks and father, Delos C. Marion, Sr., whom both precede her in death. Peggy is preceded in death also by her mother-in-law, Nellie Bly Miller; two sons-in-law, Maurice Kirby and Dennis M. Reed; two sisters, Mary Brandon and June Marion; and a brother, Delos C. "Sheep" Marion, Jr.

Peggy was of the Catholic faith and was a member, steadfastly committed at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church. She was often seen walking to church on a regular basis. Peggy also loved visiting other area churches to hear the word of her Lord as this brought equal enlightenment to her Christ Walk. Peggy was a helper, the one that tirelessly gave of her time, skill and energy. Peggy loved people and people loved her. Her smile was contagious. Her generosity and heart were always in the right place.

Peggy was a hard worker having been employed mostly in the medical field throughout her life at various places. Her work history included Greenbrier Valley Hospital, The Homestead at Hot Springs, VA, and WVSOM.

Peggy had the ability to engage others in conversations and was interested in learning. In later years, she took classes and became involved in some voluntary work. Peggy was very involved in the caring for and raising her first grandchild. She adored naturally her time with her other grandchildren as well. Her tenacity to work and help others was evident in the many people she would come in contact with regularly.

She is survived by her husband, John R. Miller, Sr.; two daughters, Evangeline Miller Reed of Beckley and Carla M. Kirby of Lewisburg, a son, John R. Miller, Jr. of Ronceverte; grandchildren, Isaiah Godfrey, Johnna Miller, Shanelle Kirby, Shyloh Mack and Chelsea Carter; a sister, Ann Arnold of White Sulphur Springs; a brother, Kenneth L. Carter (Jacqueline) of White Sulphur Springs; brother-in-law, James A. Miller of Philadelphia, PA. Also surviving are a host of other family members and friends and a host of nieces, nephews and special cousins.

Peggy has already began her endless journey with the Lord. A funeral mass service will be held Monday, February 26, 2018 at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 407 Walnut Street, Ronceverte, WV beginning at 12:00 noon. Family and friends will be received one hour prior to the service. Officiating will be Father James "Jim" Conyers with special clergy.

The family will reunite to further celebrate the life of Peggy at the Norman Crump Outreach Center, 19 Church Street in White Sulphur Springs, WV immediately following her service. All family and friends are welcome to fellowship during this celebration.

Interment arrangements will be announced at a later time.
