Marjorie Lawhorne Byers, 88, of Buena Vista, Virginia was called home to be with the Lord Sunday, March 4, 2018.

Marjorie was born April 26, 1929, the daughter of the late Cleve Lawhorne and Elsie Stinnet Lawhorne.

She was preceded in death by her son, Victor Byers.

Marjorie is survived by her grandchildren, Milo Byers and wife, Rachel, Virginia Byers and fiancee Duane, and Wilton Byers and wife, Kristin; great grandchildren, Kelsea, Damitri, Dacomha, Desirae, Chloe, Jaeleigh, Ebony and Sherrod; and a son, Phillip Byers.

"Reckon this is good bye for now but we will see you again. Fly High, Fly Happy you beautiful Angel. We all love you and miss you but will never forget you. Until we meet again. Love you Granny."

A funeral will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday, March 8, at the Oronoco Brethren Church with the Rev. Rick Ramsey officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour before the service.
