Obituary for Kenneth Lee Armstrong Kenneth Lee Armstrong
Raphine Resident Worked With Auto Parts & Supply In Vesuvius

Kenneth Lee Armstrong, 75, of Raphine, Virginia passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at Augusta Health in Fishersville.

He was born on Nov. 11, 1942 in Washington, D.C., to Mildred Virginia Armstrong. He later moved to Lexington with his grandparents, Samuel and Katie Pearl Armstrong, where he spent most of his childhood. It was there he met his wife of 55 years, Martha Ann (Clark) Armstrong. The couple were longtime residents of the surrounding area.

Kenny retired in December 2003 due to illness, after working 21 years for Gwen Berry at Auto Parts & Supply in Vesuvius.

Kenny loved racing of any kind and spent most weekends at the track at Natural Bridge or Eastside Speedway. He also loved to hunt. He would spend time with his family camping and hunting in Guys Run and driving through Rockbridge County searching for deer. He was quick-witted and always had a story to tell.

In addition to his wife, Ann, he is survived by son, David Lee Armstrong of Nashville Tennessee; his grandchildren, whom he loved dearly, Precious Hope Armstrong of Deerfield and Travis Alan Armstrong of Middlebrook, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

At his request, there will not be a formal service or burial. Friends and family may visit his wife at their home in Raphine.

Henry Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
