Well-Known Lexington Attorney Was Co-Founder Of Lime Kiln

Thomas Carlyle Spencer of Lexington, Virginia died Sunday, April 22, 2018 at Stonewall Jackson Hospital.

Born November 18, 1936 in Lynchburg, a son of the late John Kilpen Spencer and Letitia Florence Womeldorf Spencer.

Tommy was a local attorney and operated Spencer law firm for many years. He was also co-founder of Lime Kiln Theater.

Surviving are his wife, Susan Harb; son, Yates Spencer; daughter, Beth Spencer and husband, Abel Duffy; siblings, Edelweiss S. Roberts of Paris, KY, Maxwell Cunningham Spencer of Winston Salem, NC, Alyce Spencer Harrison of Huddleston, VA, Nancy Kay Spencer Leech of Lexington; four grandsons: Sam, Gus and Ely Spencer, and Milo Duffy, and nephew, Gene Harb.

A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
