Alleghany County Native Was Homemaker, Former Industrial Rayon Plant Employee

Carol Ann Rose Bradshaw, 78, of 6609 Potts Creek Road, Covington, Virginia died Monday, April 23, 2018 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Bradshaw was born December 29, 1939 in Alleghany County, the daughter of the late Lewis Jackson and Ruth Sizer Rose.

Carol was a former employee of the Industrial Rayon Plant and then became a homemaker.

She was a member of the Pinnell Chapel United Methodist Church while being a member of the Ladies Circle. She enjoyed gardening and flowers as well as taking rides in the mountains.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Richard Eugene Bradshaw of Covington; a daughter, Teresa Humphries Stevens and husband, Nate of Daleville; a son, Michael Bradshaw of Covington; two grandchildren, Joshua Michael Humphries of Harrisonburg and Brooke Lauren Humphries of Daleville; a mother-in-law, Rebecca Bradshaw and a number of nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday April 26, 2018 in the Pinnell Chapel United Methodist Chapel for Church and Family with the Rev. David Brown officiating.

The interment will be held immediately following the service at Lone Star Cemetery.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorial donations be made in Mrs. Bradshaw's name to Pinnell Chapel United Methodist Church at 205 Summit Dr. Covington, VA 24426.

The Arritt Funeral Home, Covington, Virginia, is in charge of arrangements.
