Woodrow Wayne Gilbert of Buena Vista, Virginia died on April 27, 2018 after a brief illness.

He was born in Lexington to the late Woodrow Gilbert and Katherine Edwards Gilbert.

His sister, Patsy Brown, predeceased him.

He is survived by his wife, Lucille; daughters, Susan Gilbert and Kim Fitzgerald; grandchildren, Mattie, Banks, Afton and Laila; brother, Keith Gilbert; numerous nieces, nephews and special friends, and caring pets, Berk, Oak and Katt.

Funeral services will be conducted at Bolling, Grose and Lotts Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at 2 p.m. with family visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery.

Arrangements are being handled by Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
