Mr. Thomas Ronald Young, age 72, of Clifton Forge, Virginia died Friday, June 15, 2018 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital, Roanoke.

He was the husband of the late Patricia Dianne Seay Young.

Mr. Young was born September 11, 1945 in Washington, DC, the son of the late Sexton Terry Young and Mary Winifred Matchet Young.

He served his country as a member of the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.

During his career, Thomas worked in the heating and air conditioning field for several different companies.

He enjoyed fishing and boating.

Mr. Young is survived by three daughters, Susan Schilling and husband, John of Clifton Forge, Tricia Young of Roanoke and Winnie Wagner and husband, Rick of Clayton, NC; two stepchildren, Melissa Adcock Bradley and husband, Greg and Robbie Adcock; seven grandchildren, Shauna "Merritt" Hill, Aryn Wagner, Angela Schilling, Emma Schilling, Zachary Shumaker, Amanda Newman and Jessica Shumaker; great grandchildren, Allysa Merritt, Thomas James "T.J." Hill and Cameron Hill; a brother, Ted Young of Gwynn's Island; a sister, Loretta Tingen; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Sexton and Mary Young and his wife, Patricia Young, Mr. Young was preceded in death by a brother, Billy Young.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 19, 2018 from the chapel of Loving Funeral Home with Pastor Lynn Wright officiating.
