Obituary for William Ellsworth (Fuzzy) Knighton William Ellsworth (Fuzzy) Knighton
U. S. Army Veteran Was Hercules Carpenter, Edgemont Service Station Employee

Mr. William Ellsworth (Fuzzy) Knighton, age 80, of Covington, Virginia died Friday, July 13, 2018 at the VA Medical Center, Salem.

He was the husband of the late Joyce Clarke Knighton.

Mr. Knighton was born on November 1, 1937 in Covington, the son of the late Wilbur B. Knighton and Nellie Gilliland Knighton.

He was a lifetime resident of the community.

Mr. Knighton proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army.

He was employed by Hercules as a carpenter before finishing his working career at Edgemont Service Station. Fuzzy enjoyed hunting, fishing, and working on cars.

Mr. Knighton is survived by his two sons, Randy Alan Knighton and Jason Scott Knighton; six grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren with the ninth great grandchild on the way.

Mr. Knighton was preceded in death by one sister, Doris Knighton Entsminger and one brother, Harry Stuart Knighton.

A memorial service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, July 21, 2018 from the chapel of Loving Funeral Home with Rev. Buddy Burks officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday afternoon from 12:30 p.m. until time of service. They will also receive friends after the service as well as at other times at his residence, 2314 S. Lewis Street, Covington.
