Pennsylvania Native Was U. S. Steel Retiree

Robert William Carsillo, 76, of Lexington, Virginia died suddenly Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at home.

He was born Sept. 19, 1941 in Trevose, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Helen Matilda Carsillo and Vincent John Carsillo.

He was preceded in death by his brother Vincent "Bud" Carsillo.

He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Deborah Carsillo; his daughters, Sherri Yilmaz and husband, Jim Lewis; Carol Legge and husband, Gary; granddaughter, Taylor Yilmaz; and his faithful dogs, Bart and Jack. He is also survived by his brother, Lawrence Carsillo (Mary); sisters, Margaret (Peggy) Sedgwick and Louise Behe (Rick); many nieces, nephews and friends.

He spent most of his life in Parkland, PA raising his family. He was a great provider and the memories of the summer vacations in Wildwood and Christmas morning will always be cherished. In younger years he won multiple trophies for playing football with the Bensalem Owls, Minor league baseball and bowling in a league.

He retired from US Steel and Verits at 62 before moving to Lexington 13 years ago. He still managed to work at a local machine shop for "spending money" as he called it. He was a member of the Blue Ridge Shooters club and an avid hunter and fly fisherman. He was a diehard Eagles fan and loyal Phillies fan.
