Roy Thomas Nuckols of Phoenix, Ariz., formerly of Buena Vista, Virginia, died July 17, 2018.

He was born May 30, 1958 in California, the son of Roy E. Nuckols and Nancy L. Nuckols, who both predeceased him. He was also predeceased by a brother, Jaret Lee Nuckols.

Mr. Nuckols served in the United States Marine Corps.

He is survived by his daughter, Monica Wills of Lexington; brothers, Larry Nuckols of Florida, Martin Nuckols of Ohio and Jack Nuckols of Buena Vista; and a sister, Pam Jennings of Buena Vista.

A private service is planned for October.
