Former Lewis Gale Alleghany Hospital Employee Dies At Age 50

Kimberly Campbell (Kim) McCoy, age 50, of 3865 Hideaway Lane, Middleburg, Florida, and formerly of Selma, Virginia died Sunday, August 26, 2018 at St. Vincent Hospital in Middleburg.

She was born on May 27, 1968 in North Charleston, South Carolina to Walter S. and Suzanne DeCook "Sue" Campbell and moved to Valley Ridge, Covington, Virginia in 1984 from Pennsylvania.

She received her Master's Degree from the University of Phoenix and was employed at Lewis Gale Alleghany Hospital in Low Moor for over 10 years before moving to Florida and working with Parallon in Orange Park, Florida four years ago.

Kim enjoyed reading, the beach, and going on cruises. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Walter and Thelma Campbell; her maternal grandparents, Orrie and Irene DeCook; her in-laws, Bobby and Alma McCoy; and a nephew, Christopher Campbell.

Kim is survived by her husband of 32 years, Jeff McCoy; sons, Bobby Allen McCoy and Walter Davis McCoy; parents, Walter and Suzanne Campbell; sisters, Tracey Brie and Vicki Graham; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with Pastor Ed West officiating. Interment will follow in Alleghany Memorial Park, Low Moor. Pallbearers will be Brian Graham, Jacob Gump, Gary Wayne Garrett, Evan Garrett, Jason Fender, and Richie Fender. Alternate pallbearers will be Gary Garrett, Danny McCoy, John DeCook, and Ernie Fender.

Following the services, the family would like to invite friends for a fellowship meal at The Life House, 601 Granville Street, Clifton Forge. The family will also receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Nicely Funeral Home.
