Obituary for Adam Keene Byrd Adam Keene Byrd
Byrd Enterprises Owner Dies At Age 77

Adam Keene Byrd, 77, of 4772 Sam Snead Highway, Hot Springs, Virginia died Saturday, September 1, 2018 at his residence.

He was born September 29, 1940, a son of the late Julian M. Byrd, Jr. and Dorothy Keene Byrd.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Julian M. Byrd, III.

Mr. Byrd was a graduate Of the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. He was owner of Byrd Enterprises for 30 years. He was a past President of the Charlottesville Chamber of Commerce. Keene loved playing golf and was a Historian for the Homestead in Hot Springs. He loved life.

Surviving are his wife, Madeline "Betsy" Byrd of Hot Springs; two step daughters, Elizabeth Pritt and her husband, Terry of Hot Springs and Kathy Vaught and her husband, Ron of Millboro; two step sons, Charles Herman, Jr. of Hot Springs and Chip Herman of Blacksburg; three grandchildren, Landon Vault and Jody Colaw of Monterey; Phillip Pritt and Kaylie Farist and Jessica Robeson, all of Covington; one great grandson, Conner Robeson; four sisters, Sare Belle Worsham of Hot Springs; Johannah Harrison of Fredericksburg; Mimi Keyser of Hot Springs and Mary Andrea Byrd of Saltville; and several nieces and nephews; his dog, Ginger and his cat, Gigi.

In keeping with his wishes, his body had been cremated.

A memorial service will be held at a later date
