Obituary for Reba Johnson Smith Reba Johnson Smith
Bath County Native Was Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church Member

Mrs. Reba Johnson Smith, age 92, of 1427 S. Franklin Ave, Covington, Virginia died Sunday, September 2, 2018 at the Brian Center Nursing Care-Alleghany, Low Moor.

She was the wife of the late Bernard Elmo Smith.

Mrs. Smith was born October 21, 1925 in Bath County, the daughter of the late Boyd Johnson and Mamie Humphrey Johnson.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed quilting.

Reba was a member of Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church as well as the Women's Society and the Evening Circle. She was also a member of the Curtis A. Smith Post 1033 VFW Ladies Auxiliary.

Mrs. Smith is survived by three daughters, Bonnie S. Kinsey and husband, Jakie, Sharon S. Schuder and husband, Lawrence, Kathy S. Leitch and husband, Lewis, all of Covington; five grandchildren, Jamie Worley and wife, Melinda of Atlanta, GA, Thomas Leitch and wife, Katie of Franklin, MA, Mark Schuder of Covington, Jennifer Leitch McCrady and husband, Bradley of Christiansburg, Travis Schuder of Westerville, OH; and six great grandchildren, Rachel Leitch, Eric Leitch, Destiny Schuder, Leslie Hope Worley, Natalie McCrady, Adrienne McCrady.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, September 6, 2018 from the chapel of Loving Funeral Home with Rev. Doug Hollenbeck officiating. Interment will follow in Alleghany Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Jamie Worley, Thomas Leitch, Mark Schuder, Travis Schuder, Bradley McCrady and Charles Meeks.

The family will receive friends on Thursday morning from 11:30 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
