Hootie Dunlap, born on April 8, 1956, as Halstead McClure Dunlap to Lois and Halstead Dunlap, "kicked the bucket" and passed away peacefully on Monday, September 24, 2018, surrounded by his wife and children.
His life will be celebrated on Sunday, September 30, 2018 from 2 to 4 p.m. in his garden at 23 White Rock Road, Lexington.
We ask that you bring your favorite tales and Hootie-isms to add to our memory book. For those of you who want to join us in Hootie's favorite spot in the woods, we will gather there after the reception.
Since Hootie strongly believed and lived his life doing good for others, we ask that in lieu of flowers, please "do good" for others by making a donation to the charity of your choice.
Hootie is survived by his wife, Lisa; children, Andrew Dunlap, Kate (and Douglas) Hedges and April Dunlap; brother, Thomas Henry Dunlap; and his loveable dogs, Sydney and Jackson.
