Obituary for Larre Walton Cook Larre Walton Cook
Mill Branch Church of God of Prophecy Member Was Former Sunday School Teacher

Larre Walton Cook, 84, died Thursday, October 25, 2018 at The Springs Nursing Center in Hot Springs.

Mrs. Cook was born January 26, 1934 in Greenbrier County, WV, a daughter of the late Charles and Jessie Shue Walton.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John A. Cook, Sr.; two daughters, Gloria Jean Cook and Peggy Brookman; two sons, Albert Lee Cook and Joe Allen Cook; one granddaughter, Amanda Lee Cook; four sisters, Marie Wright, Mary Phillips, Bonnie Tucker and Iva Hoke and two brothers, Charles Lacy Walton, Jr. and Robert A. Walton.

She was a longtime member of the Mill Branch Church of God of Prophecy and was a former Sunday School teacher.

Surviving are four daughters, Virginia Shinault and her Husband, Earnest, Sharon Kirk, Shelia Cook and Diane Ward, all of Covington; one son, John A. Cook, Jr. of Covington; one son-in-law, Ricky Brookman of Covington; one sister, Francis Tucker of Roanoke; 17 grandchildren, 74 great grandchildren, 9 great great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Arritt Funeral Home with the Rev. Donald Brown officiating.

Interment will be made in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Arritt Funeral Home.
