U. S. Marine Corps Veteran Was Local Mechanic, Temple Baptist Church Member
William Glenn (Bill) Dawson, 72, of 315 E. Parrish Street, Covington, Virginia died Thursday, November 1, 2018 at his home.
Mr. Dawson was born April 3, 1946 in Covington, a son of the late Frank H. Dawson, Sr. and Rita Hiner Dawson.
Bill was veteran of the Vietnam War with the U. S. Marine Corps. He retired from the Virginia Department of Transportation and operated a mechanic shop at his home, specializing in Volkswagen repair.
He was a member of Temple Baptist Church.
He is survived by his brother, Frank H. Dawson, Jr. of Great Mills, MD; his girlfriend, Patricia Mulkey of Whitehouse, TX; special friends, Richard Watson, Don Dulaney, Albert Tucker and David Goff, all of Covington.
In keeping with his wishes, his body has been cremated.
A memorial service may be held at a later date.
The Arritt Funeral Home, Covington, Virginia, handled the arrangements.
