Obituary for Donald Wayne (Buck) Wolfe Donald Wayne (Buck) Wolfe
U. S. Navy Veteran Was Welder, Phillips 66 Service Station Operator

Mr. Donald Wayne (Buck) Wolfe, age 78, of Covington, Virginia went to be with the Lord Saturday, November 3, 2018 at his residence.

He was the husband of Judith Clark Wolfe.

Mr. Wolfe was born September 25, 1940 in Covington, the son of the late Harry Richard Wolfe and Eloise Scott Wolfe.

He served his country as a member of the United States Navy, where he retired with twenty years of service.

Following his career in the military, Buck was employed as a maintenance welder by Westvaco before his retirement. Mr. Wolfe also ran the Phillips 66 Service Station.

He was a member of First Christian Church.

Buck enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, fishing, car shows and watching any sporting event. He was a member of Covington Moose Lodge #610 and was also very active at the YMCA.

In addition to his wife, Judith, Mr. Wolfe is survived by a daughter, Amy Wolfe Groves and husband, Billy of Covington; a son, Donald Ray Wolfe and April Nicely of Covington; four grandchildren, Chandler Wolfe, Peyton Wolfe, Brady Groves, and Walker Groves; one sister, Wanda Wolfe Fridley of Laurel, MD; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, great great nieces and nephews.

A memorial service to honor his life will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 7, 2018 from the Chapel of Loving Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Gilliland officiating. Interment will follow in Lone Star Cemetery.

Graveside rites will be conducted by the Curtis A. Smith Post 1033 Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Pallbearers will be Chucky Bartley and Leeroy Morgan.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. at Loving Funeral Home.

The family suggests that memorial tributes take the form of contributions to Mountain Regional Hospice, P. O. Box 637, Clifton Forge, VA 24422.
