Rockbridge County Native Was New Monmouth Presbyterian Church Member, Longtime Lylburn Downing Cafeteria Employee
Mary Elizabeth Johnson Plogger, 91, of Lexington, Virginia died Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Havenwood Manor.
She was born June 2, 1927 in Rockbridge County, a daughter of Herman Johnson and Mabel Falls Johnson.
Mrs. Plogger was a member of the New Monmouth Presbyterian Church and was retired with 42 years of service at Lyburn Downing School cafeteria.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Lee "Shod" Plogger; and sons, Wayne and Kenny Rhodenizer.
Surviving are her daughter, Norma Jean Sawyer; sister, Marie Wilhelm and brother, Raymond Johnson; seven grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
A service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 7 by the Rev. Rachael Clark at the New Monmouth Presbyterian Church cemetery.
Arrangements were by Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory.
