Obituary for Kenneth (Kenny) Walker Emore Kenneth (Kenny) Walker Emore
Retired Natural Bridge Learning Center Instructor Was Collierstown United Methodist Church Member

Kenneth (Kenny) Walker Emore, 70, of Lexington, Virginia died Saturday, November 17, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born February 14, 1948 in Lexington, a son of Carl Herman "Pete" Emore and Ruby Wade Emore. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Carl H. "John" Emore, Jr.

Kenny was a member of Collierstown United Methodist Church and retired from the Natural Bridge Learning Center after 38 years as masonry and math instructor. He was also a longtime member and current governor of Lexington Moose Lodge 1700.

Surviving are his wife, Linda Irvine Emore; daughter, Niki Mooneyham (Joey); one granddaughter, Sarah Mooneyham; sister, Linda Emore Knick (Wayne) and brother, William P. Emore (Cassandra); sister-in-law, Susie Emore; brother-in-law, Andy Irvine (Michele), sister-in-law, Carla Shay (Jr.); dear friend, Pat Hunt (Udder Brudder); special nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; and special niece, Sheree Emore; and special pets, Cadi and Sami.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at Harrison Funeral Home chapel by the Rev. Mike Pettry and Rev. Ryan Hubbard. Burial will follow at McElwee Chapel Cemetery.

There will be no visitation at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the SPCA, 10 Animal Place, Lexington, VA. 24450.

Arrangements are by Harrison Funeral Home and Crematory.
